NAMI-GC from 10 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday, operates a HELPLINE that is free to the public to connect callers to the support that they need. We host consumer and family support groups in both English and Spanish here at our office, and also compile a listing of family and consumer support groups throughout the Greater Chicago area on a quarterly basis.
The support groups hosted at our office are in an open format and rely on a peer-support model. All of our support groups are free and open to drop-ins. If you are not in the Chicago area, you can use the NAMI national website to locate your nearest affiliate. Additionally, if you have a specific crisis need or are seeking help outside of our office hours, you may contact one of the crisis hotlines available.
