We provide classes to consumers, family members, and professionals. All of our consumer and family education programs are offered free of charge. However, we gladly accept donations to help cover the cost of materials. There is a nominal fee for professional education courses.
Family to Family is a 12-week course taught by two trained volunteer teachers who themselves have a family member with a mental illness. The basis for the class, which has been offered since 1995, is a standardized manual developed by the NAMI national office.
Pathways in Living, an eight-week course offered since 2003, is a consumer education class that we developed. It is taught by consumers who are in recovery from mental illness.
Forging Links is a one-day course for mental health providers. It is offered once or twice ecah year at our office.
