As NAMI of Greater Chicago continues to grow,
so do our requests for speakers at a variety of venues. These venues
include college campuses, mental health provider agencies, faith communities,
police training classes and more.
NAMI of Greater Chicago needs to continue to build our Speakers' Bureau
in order to keep up with the demand.
Additionally, the personal stories of family members and consumers of
mental health services continue to be noted as
one of the most prominent parts of our speaking engagements. The personal
stories hit home for many and make mental
illnesses more of a reality for others by putting a face on mental illness.
